When you join, you will receive our quarterly newsletter, action alerts, and notices of hikes we take off the beaten path to show you what the Forest Service prefers to hide: clearcuts, eroding logging roads, muddied streams, and ORV scars. Happily, we don't take hikes only to clearcuts.  We love the Boone and can show you little-used areas of the Forest that will leave you breathless.  Dual membership in Kentucky Heartwood and Heartwood provides regional mailings and invitations to regional events around the campaign to protect and restore our public lands.
